According to the police officials, the arrested accused, identified as Ganesh Shinde, 33, was caught after the survivor drew his sketch. Shinde became a eunuch four years ago.

A Nehru Nagar police officer said, “The three eunuchs had been sodomising the victim for the past four years. They used to force feed him and force him to drink alcohol, following which the trio sodomised him. After the incident, the accused would threaten him to not reveal his ordeal to anyone and come whenever they call him next or else they will harm his parents and make him a eunuch.”

However, on Monday, when the mother of the survivor saw him cry while leaving the house, she asked the reason and the boy told her everything. “The minor, who is a Class 7 student, was out with three eunuchs for the whole night on Sunday and when the parents came to know about it they approached the cops,” added the officer.

Shinde, befriended the survivor in May, 2012 and called him for a party later. However, in the party, they made him consume alcohol and then sodomised him. “Initially, the trio sodomised him only once, but off late they had started doing it a lot and this had affected the survivor’s health,” said an officer.

Senior police inspector Pramod Khoparde from Nehru Nagar police station confirmed the incident. The accused has been booked under section 377 (unnatural offence), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code along with section 4 and 8 under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
