Two motorbikes parked on the roads were stolen from Vashi, Navi Mumbai, last weekend, the Vashi police said on Monday.

While one bike was stolen from sector 11, the second was stolen from sector 15; both were stolen between Saturday and Monday,

“Both two-wheelers had been parked on the roads. Their owners are not sure exactly when their bikes were stolen as it was the weekend. They found that their bikes were missing two days after they had last parked it,” said a police officer from Vashi police station, who did not wish to be named. “Investigations are on.”

Two separate complaints have been registered against unidentified persons under section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

No one has been arrested so far.
