Worker falls to death from under-construction building in Borivli
The police have booked two site supervisors for causing death due to negligence.
A 35-year-old worker died after he fell from an under-construction building in Borivli (East) on Wednesday, said the Kasturba Marg police.

The police have booked two site supervisors for causing death due to negligence.
The incident took place at a private builder’s construction site in Dattapada Road at 12.15pm. The worker, Sattaki Alijuddin Shaikh, lost his balance and fell on the ground from the sixth floor of the seven-storey building, said an officer.
He was taken to a nearby hospital; however, where he was declared dead on arrival, said the officer. The hospital authorities informed the police.
The police said Shaikh was working without any safety equipment. Shaikh’s wife, Rafiqa, registered a complaint against two site supervisors for alleged negligence.
The victim’s wife told the police that all workers’ safety was ignored. Workers were not provided with safety belts and nets, according to the complaint.
The police will record statements of other workers.
