THANE: Two brothers have been arrested for the murder of a 23-year-old woman nine years ago. The accused, husband of the victim Akhtar Aziz Gazi, 29, is an auto-rickshaw driver while the other accused his brother Bablu, 30, does odd jobs.

On 23 June, 2007, Akhtar and Bablu strangled Sabina after a fight.

Nitin Thackeray, senior inspector from Thane said, “Sabina was upset that they were not earning enough to run the household.”

The brothers had been on the run but the police received a tip two days ago and managed to nab them.
