2 convicted for robbing rs 7 lakh

The special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act court on Monday convicted two people for robbing more than Rs 7 lakh from a foreign exchange firm in Oshiwara in 2006.

The special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court on Monday convicted two people for robbing more than Rs 7 lakh from a foreign exchange firm in Oshiwara in 2006.

According to the prosecution, six people barged inside Garda Global Moneychangers Pvt Ltd with guns and choppers and fled with the money.

Special public prosecutor Dileep Shah examined 10 witnesses including Soni to prove his case. The court convicted two accused but acquitted two others for lack for lack of evidence.

The fifth accused in the case is absconding.
