For the second consecutive day, suburban services on the Central Railway ran two to three hours behind schedule and more than 150 trains were cancelled, affecting 35 lakh suburban commuters.

The disruption was caused by flooding and technical snags at crossover points on tracks as well as a signal failure beyond Kalyan station.
