“On Monday, as the bus, carrying 25 BEST employees, was driving out of the depot four Shiv Sena men stopped the bus and boarded it — two from the front door and two from rear,” said police inspector R.L. Kasbe. The bus was headed towards the Oshiwara bus depot.

Two of the four men allegedly threatened the driver and told him to follow their directions.

When the bus driver refused, they allegedly threatened him with dire consequences. The two men also threatened the 25 employees inside the vehicle.

After 10 minutes, when the police reached the spot, the four men fled.

“As only two of them threatened the driver, we have registered a case of kidnapping, criminal intimidation and preventing a public servant from performing his duty against them,” said Kasbe.

Police are trying to trace the identities and the whereabouts of the two Shiv Sainiks.
