The three men — a watchman, a waiter and a sweeper at Natraj bar — had been stabbed multiple times.

Their bodies were found by a sweeper at 8.30 am.

The local police have ruled out robbery as a motive for the killings, since no cash or valuables had been taken from the bar or the victims.

“The men had been stabbed about 10 times each, with a sharp weapon,” said senior police inspector BB Rathod.

“Bhaskar Dalvi, 54, the watchman, was found lying in the compound of the bar. Raja Dakholia, 33, the waiter, and Vasant Mudira, 30, the sweeper, were found in a garage behind the bar, where they often spent the night.”

With the closed-circuit TV camera switched off after the bar shut, the police have no footage to help identify the killers.

They are now recording the statements of employees, as the involvement of an insider has not been ruled out. A case of murder has been registered against unidentified persons.
