The court issued a production warrant for Jundal on Thursday.

Special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said, “Jundal will be produced before the court on May 4.”

The crime branch had arrested Jundal on July 21, 2012. A charge sheet specifying his role in the attacks was filed on October 16, 2012. The crime branch had alleged that Jundal was in the control room in Pakistan during the attacks, and he gave instructions to the terrorists who attacked the city.

The metropolitan magistrate at the Esplanade court had, in January, handed over the case to the sessions court. The case has been assigned to judge UB Hejib, who is also hearing the 2002 hit-and-run case against actor Salman Khan.
