Bandra accident: Goradiya won’t return to New York

Viral Goradiya, 27, who was involved in a drink-driving accident on December 28 that led to the death of his fiancée, Dhwani Chheda, is not planning to return to New York.

Viral Goradiya, 27, who was involved in a drink-driving accident on December 28 that led to the death of his fiancée, Dhwani Chheda, is not planning to return to New York.

Goradiya’s advocate Abhay Dawde said, “He is presently not in a condition to go anywhere. He has been advised bed rest as he had sustained internal injuries.

Goradiya is shattered as he blames himself for his fiancée’s death.”

Meanwhile, the Kherwadi police said they are waiting to collect Goradiya’s medical reports from Lilavati hospital, following which they would file the charge sheet. Goradiya was undergoing treatment at the hospital and was discharged on Tuesday soon after which he was arrested. He was produced in court and was released on bail.

“Our investigations into the case are complete. We will now submit the charge sheet in court,” said Awadhut Chawan, senior police inspector, Kherwadi police station.

Goradiya and Chheda had met with an accident around 3.30am on December 28. Goradiya, who was driving his father’s Honda City with Chheda seated next to him. Chheda was declared dead on admission at Bhabha hospital.
