“As a mark of protest against the molestation of women constables in the Azad Maidan violence, we will be marching in pairs without disturbing traffic, and hold placards stressing on the security of women,” said Anandini Thakoor, member of Khar Residents Association.

Illegal hawking, the issue that the association has been fighting is also on the list. Thakoor said, “There have been cases where women have complained about misbehaviour by these illegal hawkers. Despite our repeated attempts, the hawker nuisance keeps returning and adds to the misery of
citizens.”
