Beed police may charge rapists with MCOCA

The Beed police is likely to slap the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against the four robbers who gang raped a 40-year-old-woman and robbed her family while they were returning from Parli-Waijnath in Ahmednagar on April 10.

The Beed police is likely to slap the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against the four robbers who gang raped a 40-year-old-woman and robbed her family while they were returning from Parli-Waijnath in Ahmednagar on April 10.

Senior inspector Sudarshan Munde of Local Crime Branch said, “There is a strict order against divulging any information about the case.”

The woman was allegedly gang raped by four historysheeters after they waylaid their car and took the victim and her family hostage. “We have the accused in our custody till April 20,” he added.
