BJP man held for 'insulting' woman

A BJP worker, who allegedly used derogatory language while talking to a woman earlier this month, was arrested on Sunday. Accused Mohan Saini, was released on bail.

A BJP worker, who allegedly used derogatory language while talking to a woman earlier this month, was arrested on Sunday. Accused Mohan Saini, was released on bail.

Vinayak Bagade, senior inspector, Malabar Hill police, said that Saini allegedly fought with a woman for setting up a fish stall in Banganga area, where Saini lives. The woman alleged Saini demanded 'favours' from her if she wanted to set up the stall again. The police booked Saini under 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and other relevant sections of the IPC.
