Leader of the Opposition, Eknath Khadse demanded that the government issue a statement on the incident since it had put Mantralaya and all its ministers under a cloud of suspicion.

“What is the connection of this coal trader with the Mantralaya. Where was he headed and who was he going to give the money to?” asked Khadse.

He alleged that the trader was headed to the fifth floor of Mantralaya. BJP leader Nana Pataole raised the issue. State health minister Suresh Shetty said the home minister would make a statement on the issue on Thursday.
