The over 100-page chargesheet also names 13 others, all relatives of Singh, as accused in the case. They have been charged with aiding and abetting the I-T commissioner in his alleged crime.

The couple, meanwhile, moved the court for bail stating that their custody was not required. Special CBI Judge Vijay Sikchi directed the investigating agaency to file its reply to the duo's bail application on Wednesday.

However, the court gave interim bail to Mrinalika on a surety of Rs one lakh on humanitarian grounds.

In a related development, the probe agency arrested Singh's sister Shanti Kumari and her husband Subhash Chandra from Hyderabad this morning.

The chargesheet, in which the accused have been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act and relevant sections of Indian Penal Code, was filed in keeping with an order of the Bombay High Court.

Hearing a petition alleging corruption against Singh, the High Court had, on October 8, directed CBI to take action against the Commissioner and file chargesheet within two weeks.
