Commuters on the stretch that connects to Vashi toll naka, have to face uneven roads, water-filled potholes, an unfinished flyover and the under-construction monorail. Complaints by commuters and residents have gone unheard. “The condition of the road is pathetic. The BMC fills two or three potholes and then complains of material shortage. Every day there are at least 3-4 accidents on this lane,” said Vidyanand Dawre, a commuter. Abid Ali, a resident said, “Children fall several times as they walk on the road and rickshaw drivers refuse to ply.”

NR Barde assistant municipal commissioner of M-West ward said, “Owing to the monorail construction work, the road comes under MMRDA. From the next monsoon onwards, we will take care of it completely.”
