Sanjay Patil (22) was on night duty near Kurla police chowkie, close to BEST bus depot in Kurla (West).
Constable Narendra Padvi (32), who had completed his morning shift, handed over the glock pistol to Patil. “Thinking there would not be any rounds in the pistol’s chamber, Patil pulled the trigger. The weapon fired as there was one cartridge in the chamber,” said Balasaheb Jadav, senior inspector. “The bullet hit the road, broke into two and hit two people.”
