The Bandra police said the medical examination report that would ascertain whether or not the girl was sexually assaulted by the four boys from the same institution, would reach them only on Friday. Senior inspector Shamad Sheikh of Bandra police station told HT on Thursday that the report would be obtained from the police hospital at Nagpada on Friday.

“The girl and the four boys have undergone the required tests to confirm the allegation. We are awaiting the report,” Sheikh added.

Meanwhile, sources at the Bandra police station revealed that the boys had admitted before doctors at the Nagpada police hospital that they had lured the girl into sexual acts at different times over the past month. “The girl has also told doctors how she had been enticed by the four boys,” sources said, adding that on all occasions the girl had been lured by food or chocolates by the alleged rapists.

Sources said that though chances of any physical intercourse appeared unlikely, as the girl as well as the boys were immature, it nevertheless, did not diminish the gravity of the crime.

The four minor boys had allegedly raped the girl on various occasions on the premises of the institution from March 3 this year. The authorities came to know about the shocking crime during the monthly interactive session on Sunday.

Following the complaint by the authorities, the Bandra police on Tuesday rounded up the four boys. According to the Bandra police, the girl is a Class 1 student at the school run on the premises of the home for the destitute.

During Sunday’s interactive session, the girl had revealed details of the alleged abuse by the four seniors, aged 14, 12,11 and 10 respectively. The girl said she was traumatised (physically and mentally) by the repeated sexual assaults but was scared to protest or tell anyone about it.
