“It is sad that the state is still following an old decision taken in 1985 to provide facilities like cloths, food to the tribal students. We have decided to upgrade the facilities,” minister of state for Tribal Department, Rajendra Gavit said.

As per the earlier government order, the students were getting Rs 135 for clothes and Rs 600 for food.

The government will now increase the amount considering costs have gone up in the last 20 years, Gavit said adding the government is also planning to improve the infrastructure of these schools.
