A division bench of Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Justice Amjad Syed has given six weeks' time to the deputy director for considering contentions of the school management and pass a reasoned order, as directed by the high court earlier.

Some students and parents had moved the high court complaining against annual fee hike from Rs 55,000 for 2007-2008 to Rs 82,500 for 2008-2009, saying it was against the norms prescribed by the state government.

Acting on their petitions, the high court had last July directed the deputy director of education to decide on complaints lodged by the parents.

The high court has kept the hearing for September 20.
