So students, who look at the day as a time to relax, are still coming to terms with the fact that they will appear for an exam in Sunday.
Parth Shah from Bhayandar, who will appear for his Biology paper, said that it felt odd to appear for a board exam on Sunday. “Even now when I tell someone that I have an exam on Sunday they refuse to believe it,” he said.
Parth added that it was difficult to focus on studying for the exam on Saturday, because his friends were enjoying the weekend. But since several competitive exams are usually scheduled on Sunday, he felt it was good to get the feel of writing an exam on Sunday.
The day of the exam did not bother Karishma Shah from Vasai. “It does not matter whether the exam is on a Sunday or on a Monday because we are too busy studying,” she said.
The state board has informed all examination centres to keep their entire support staff ready for the day’s exams. Board counsellors will be manning the board helpline till late evening.
Meanwhile, five students from the Mumbai division were recently caught for copying during exams.
