The Bombay High Court on Thursday asked Structwel Designers and Consultants Private Limited, the consultants appointed by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority to submit a report on the structural stability of the building, to submit the report by April 1. The HC extended the time after the firm failed to submit the report on Thursday.

Gautam Niwas, which is within 30 ft of the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro, developed cracks last month.

Following the preliminary report from Structwel, 26 families of Gautam Niwas, who had vacated the building, returned to their flats.

The HC will hear the matter on April 4.
