Get well soon: Pranab wishes Pawar

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who was on a day's visit to the city, today met NCP president Sharad Pawar at his residence in South Mumbai to wish the Agriculture minister before his surgery.

Pawar will undergo a surgery for infective granuloma, an inflammatory growth due to an infection in the oral cavity, tomorrow.

Sources close to Pawar said Mukherjee was at 'Silveroak', the residence of the union agriculture minister, for around 15-20 minutes to wish him before his surgery at the Breach Candy Hospital.

Earlier, Pawar summoned Maharashtra NCP chief Madhukar Pichad and other leaders including his nephew Ajit to take stock of the party's strategy for the elections to legislative council and Rajya Sabha.
