Last Sunday, police had arrested Ankush Shahra (24), son of Dinesh Shahra, managing director of Ruchi Soya, an edible oil major, in a hit-and-run case.

Shahra, who was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, was apprehended near Churchgate after a hot chase by police after his Porsche allegedly rammed into a motorcycle driven by Haq at Marine Drive, police said adding that the accused was later released on bail.

The victim works as a delivery boy for a local restaurant named Zaffran.
