House help who robbed fitness club owner held

The Vanrai police have cracked the case of a house break-in where the house help robbed a Goregaon family of gold jewellery worth Rs 2.2 lakh, the police said. They said Anjali Ameen, a 42-year-old fitness club owner, had left home for work at 8.30 am on December 7.

The Vanrai police have cracked the case of a house break-in where the house help robbed a Goregaon family of gold jewellery worth Rs 2.2 lakh, the police said. They said Anjali Ameen, a 42-year-old fitness club owner, had left home for work at 8.30 am on December 7.

Ameen lives with her husband, a hotelier, in Jayprakash Nagar. “On December 7, Ameen and her husband left home to go to their respective workplaces. When Ameen returned home for lunch at 12.30 pm, she found the safe in her cupboard was open and her jewellery worth Rs 2.16 lakh missing,” said senior inspector Suresh Shinde of Vanrai police station. She immediately filed a complaint with Vanrai police station. When police questioned the 48-year-old maid, she confessed to the crime.
