The awards, a flagship event of Shine.com, were conceived to felicitate the meritorious contributions of organisations and individuals in the HR domain.

With the who’s who of the business world seated in the audience, the evening got more engaging with the round-table conference on ‘Challenges in HR in the coming decade’.

“The profits of a company are a direct reflection of the conditions in the workstation,” said TATA Steel’s group chief financial officer, Koushik Chatterjee, who won an award for Leading Corporate Social Responsibility.

“Ensuring quality work life and good incentives have indeed become a necessity in today’s competitive corporate sector,” he added.

HR heads and CEOs from organisations including Aditya Birla Group, Infosys, Wipro, HDFC, ICICI Prudential and others attended the event, which was chaired by Indira Parikh, former dean of IIM Ahmedabad.

The jury comprised Bhaskar Chatterjee, secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Indira Parikh, president, Foundation for Liberal and Management Education, TV Rao, chairman, Phil Knight and global chairman of the Employer Branding Awards and professor Tom Hilton, global chairman, Asia Pacific HRM Congress.
