The incidents occurred at almost the same spot, when the trains were being taken from platform two to the yard next to the Harbour line at Andheri station.

On Wednesday, a local train derailed around 1am near platform 1 and 2. Sources said the train was re-railed around 5.40am.

“However, train services were not affected much apart from couple of services being cancelled,” said a WR official on condition of anonymity, because he is not authorised to speak to the media.

On Monday, the millennium rake derailed in the night when it was being shunted. The incident occurred around 2am. However, the train was removed before services resumed at 4am. General manager Kul Bhushan visited the site on Monday.
