Starting this Friday, the fortnight-long Festa Italiana will allow Mumbaiites to sample the best of Italian culture — music, photography, film and shopping.

In its eighth year, the festival organised by the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce will showcase Italian films and performances by jazz legends such as Enrico Rava and Gianluca Petrella.

It also includes the Unescoitalia photo exhibition with 122 photographs featuring 44 world heritage sites in Italy through the lens of 14 famous Italian photographers.

“This year the shopping/consumer-related series of events (Vetrina Italian Shopping Festival) is the novelty. We will be highlighting the various food and beverage products, high-end fashion brands and other Italian products that have made it to your everyday lives,” said Sergio Sgambato, the secretary general of the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce at a press conference held on Wednesday.
