Bimal Kumar Bera (22) would take gold and diamond jewellery from Bhavin Shah, who owns a shop in Ghatkopar, and make new ones or polish them.

Between April 28 and May 27, Bera took 211 gm gold and diamonds worth more than Rs 5 lakh from Shah. "But he didn't return them despite reminders by the complainant," said a police officer. Shah then lodged a cheating case against Bera.
