Swapnil Bawecha, who hails from Indore, claimed that he was abducted on July 26 after he arrived in Mumbai. Bawecha told police that he got a call from a placement agency on July 24, which asked him to come to Mumbai.

The man claimed that he was offered a drink and then he lost consciousness. He then woke up only on Thursday and informed his friend about the incident. His family in Indore had received a ransom call for Rs 75 lakh on July 27 but the call had come from Madhya Pradesh.
