The Mazgaon magistrate court, which is hearing the case, had on June 20 rejected the plea on grounds that he may influence and threaten the victims.
Led by Dhoble, the social service branch of Mumbai police had raided the premises of Masala Curry restaurant in Andheri on suspicion of prostitution being carried out from there. The cops had rescued 11 women and arrested five men, including Tolani, who claimed that he had only organised a dance party and is not involved in a prostitution racket. The hearing on the application is scheduled for next week.
