According to the police, Shashikala Patankar, the drug mafia who was arrested recently, has claimed during her interrogation that the consignment was of 150kg. Patankar has alleged the missing 28kg may have been sold off by Kalokhe.

The crime branch is also interrogating her son Satish.

According to the police, Patankar said the 150-kg consignment was handed over to her by one Manikan Samuels. She passed it on to Kalokhe.

“Patankar said Samuels would give her the consignments at roadside eateries near Pune. We will take Samuel’s custody from the Arthur Road prison, where he is lodged for a different offence, and will question Patankar and him in each other’s presence to corroborate the claims,” said a crime branch officer.

Meanwhile, she has claimed the army man at whose house she was hiding to evade arrest knows black magic, said the police.

“Patankar suspected she suffered from ill-health and hence went to consult him on whether she was a victim of black magic,” said an officer.
