Minor girl's body recovered from Mumbai building

The body of a nine-year-old girl, who went missing since Saturday night, was recovered today from the terrace of a residential building in suburban Kurla, police said.

The body of a nine-year-old girl, who went missing since Saturday night, was recovered today from the terrace of a residential building in suburban Kurla, police said.

The body of Anjali Rishikesh Jaiswal was found on the terrace of a building in Nehru Nagar in Kurla, they said adding the girl was a resident of the same locality.

Anjali, studying in the fourth standard and went missing since last evening when she had gone out to play. Her parents had lodged a missing complaint with the Nehru Nagar police, officials said.

The body has been sent for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death and if she had been sexually assaulted, police said.
