Monk held for molesting mentally unstable girl
A monk at a Jain temple in Mulund (West) was arrested on Friday for allegedly molesting a 19-year-old mentally unstable girl. HT reports.

A monk at a Jain temple in Mulund (West) was arrested on Friday for allegedly molesting a 19-year-old mentally unstable girl.
Police officials claim that the accused, Manohar Muni, targeted the girl while she was seeking his blessings in the temple on Friday evening. It was her third visit to the temple.
“The accused is attached with several temples,” said Sanjay Shintre, DCP (Zone VII).
“The victim was taking spiritual treatment from him for her mental condition,” he added.
Police have booked Manohar Muni under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code. Further investigation in the case is still underway.
