Mulund Blast accused gets bail

The special Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) Court on Wednesday granted bail to the key accused in the 2003 Mulund blast case Wazahul Tamal Khan alias Babubhai.

Khan was granted bail by the special court as the Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) did not file the chargsheet against him in the stipulated time period.

According to the ATS, Khan was allegedly also involved in the blast at Vile Parle railway station and a blast at McDonalds outside Mumbai central railway station on the same day.

Khan was arrested on May 10 and is the 17th accused who was arrested for the Mulund blast case.

All the other 16 accused have been chargesheeted.
