The fifth semester students of Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) are facing a tough time as question papers across various centers reached late, two days in row. Adding to their woes, some colleges did not give extra time to make up for the late distribution of papers, students said.

At Ruia College, students said they received the question paper on Tuesday, the first day of exams, more than 10 minutes late, while the next day they received them almost half-an-hour late.
“On the first day of exams, the centre was not prepared well and we got the question paper for the 3pm exam 10 minutes late. However, despite several requests, our answer sheets were taken away at 5.30, with no additional time allotted,” a student who took the exam at Ruia said.
Officials at Ruia College, however, said that the 10-minute delay was caused as the Mumbai University did not send the papers on time.
“The papers were delayed only on one day since the question papers didn't reach us on time. After that there has been no delay,” said Sucheta Ketkar, vice principal, Ruia College.
On Wednesday, other centres in Kandivali, Thane and Bandra too distributed papers around 10 minutes late.
“The invigilators seemed clueless about the question paper delay. We were even denied extra supplements,” another student, who wrote the exam at a Kandivali centre, said.
The controller of examination, Dinesh Bhonde, however said that he did not know about the delay and that he will look into the matter.’
