A two-hour long bike rally from Dadar (East) to Azad Maidan en route Dr Ambedkar Road was flagged off by Hazare with social activist Arvind Kejariwal in the morning. In the evening, at the torch rally from Azad Maidan to August Kranti Maidan — the venue where Mahatma Gandhi had launched the Quit India movement on August 9, 1942 — Hazare’s supporters pledged to fight against corruption.

Volunteers of IAC, Mumbai, distributed pamphlets and ‘I am Anna Hazare’ caps and badges among people. “I will try to fast on August 16,” said Kharghar resident RK Das. Professor from Ghatkopar, Vaibhav Narawade, said: “I will agitate for seven days near Ghatkopar station.”
