The overwhelming response to Campus Calling Counselling Sessions organised by Hindustan Times in association with Young Buzz, continued on Day 2 of the campaign.
Around 1,270 students and parents participated in the three-hour session on career guidance held at Bhaidas Sabhagriha, Vile Parle and Vishnudas Bhave Hall, Vashi, on Saturday.
Naina Virk, a Class 12 student from Vashi, said she wanted to shift her stream, from science to arts, and this session helped her understand her options very well. “I realised the full scope in arts stream, and it has opened my eyes to the opportunities, thanks to these reliable counsellors.”
For Kulkarni, the mother of a Class 12 student, it was a rewarding experience.
“Such guidance was not available before. It was very informative since a broad range of careers were covered and analysed. I am glad that my son can now make an informed choice,” said Kulkarni.
Qurratulain Kapasi, a counsellor, said, “In Vile Parle, we had a long question answer session, because people were asking very specific questions.”
The campaign is scheduled in six more venues, on every Friday and Saturday, until June 12.
