The civic body will begin the second phase of census from February 9. The second phase will include head counting and population enumeration.

The civic body will begin the second phase of census from February 9. The second phase will include head counting and population enumeration. The first phase was house listing. The staffers who worked in the first phase will be included and will be given an incentive of Rs 5,000.

“In this exercise we will also count the homeless people in the city,” said additional municipal commissioner, Manisha Mhaiskar.

She added that in this phase the number of blocks has increased to 27,850 as for this exercise one block (includes 150 houses) shouldn’t have a population of more than 800. The second phase will end on February 28.
