Police arrest tantrik for molesting woman
A 56-year-old tantrik was arrested on Thursday for allegedly molesting a 25-year-old woman from Dombivli. HT reports.
A 56-year-old tantrik was arrested on Thursday for allegedly molesting a 25-year-old woman from Dombivli.
The accused identified as Chandrashekhar Kashinath Kadam, a resident of Tilak Nagar, claimed that he possessed supernatural powers, using which he could heal people.
The victim went to Kadam’s residence to seek his blessings as she was unable to conceive even after a year of marriage. The accused took her to adjacent room. She followed the tantrik while her husband and mother-in-law waited outside.
“Kadam then asked the victim to undress and started touching her inappropriately. She started yelling for help. Her husband came rushing in and thrashed Kadam and handed him over to the police,” said police inspector SR Munde from Tilak Nagar police station.
