Rapist cop on the run seeks anticipatory bail

Dismissed encounter specialist Arun Borude, who is absconding after being accused of raping a minor girl, has approached the Bombay High Court seeking anticipatory bail application.

Borude has approached high court after the sessions court rejected his application last week.

His application claims that he is being falsely implicated in the case.

A case was lodged after a 15-year-old victim had lodged a complaint a fortnight ago at Powai police station alleging she was raped on several occasions by more than three persons at different places including a flat in Andheri.

The case came to light after the girl became pregnant and delivered a baby girl in October.

Borude was earlier suspended when his named figured in custodial death case in 2003.
