Residents of Mhada complexes would also have a complaint redressal system in housing board offices across the state.

The state will also provide an official format of the agreement to be signed between the residents and developer so that the document stands legal scrutiny in case of cheating by either side, the minister said.

Ahir said that though the Supreme Court had disallowed revoking of consent for redevelopment granted by 70% of residents, the state may consider a few genuine cases where consent would be reversed.

The minister also said the state would provide residents of transit camps homes after procuring redevelopment rights of their original dwellings. He said the transit residents could get new homes in the vicinity of transit camps, which too would be redeveloped.
