Consumers’ outfits such as Mumbai Grahak Panchayat (MGP) have been demanding such a survey saying that the auto/taxi owners and drivers are already earning considerably. The week-long survey will commence from Tuesday.
“The Hakim committee has asked our officials to conduct the survey. We will provide the required assistance to the committee,” said VN More, transport commissioner.
The Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) will conduct the survey in their respective jurisdictions in presence of three people including a member from MGP, traffic official and an RTO official.
