Singh said the agreement copy signed by Khan states that he paid Rs 20 crore for an apartment in an under-construction building at Bullock Road, Bandstand, Bandra (West).

“Nowhere in this country has anyone paid such a large amount for this much space. Actually, the floor plan has been manipulated in such a way that open areas such as two parking spots, a swimming pool, a lift lobby and balconies have been merged with the flat,” he said.

He said the flat would actually become 6,000 square feet in that case. Despite repeated attempts to contact Khan, he was unavailable for comment.

Singh has also alleged that the building has violated both construction and environmental laws.

“As this is CRZ area and the adjoining road is narrow, the maximum number of floors should have been four, but here the builder has got permission for 28 floors,” Singh said.
