Model Simran Sood, who is accused of being involved in the murder of Delhi-based film producer Karan Kakkad, filed a bail application on Tuesday.

Vijay Palande, who Sood claims is her husband, is the main accused in the case.
Sood was arrested on April 26 last year for her hand in the murder of senior citizen Arun Tikku. She was granted bail in that case in November.
Palande is the main accused in that case as well. Sood was arrested for the Kakkad murder later and was named in the charge sheet of the case on July 10.
This time, Sood has in her bail plea alleged that she had no role to play in Kakkad’s murder and has stated that she is innocent. The bail application also adds that the chargesheet filed by the police fails to link her with Kakkad’s murder and is not clear on her involvement in the case.
The court has now asked the prosecution to file their say on the application.
Kakkad’s murder had come to light when Palande confessed to killing him while being interrogated in the Tikku case. It was revealed that Kakkad was killed at his residence in Andheri (West) by Palande and his associates, which included Sood.
