The Goregaon police arrested a 23-year-old spot boy, who was on the run after raping a 23-year-old actress by posing as a film financer and promising her a role in a movie.

The Goregaon police arrested a 23-year-old spot boy, who was on the run after raping a 23-year-old actress by posing as a film financer and promising her a role in a movie.

Police caught the accused, Mustafa Maksood Ali Khan, from Wadala on Sunday and said that he and the victim were in a sexual relationship between December 2012 and January 2013.

The victim met Khan at an audition.

“Khan introduced himself as a film financer, following which the victim told him that she was in need of work. The accused promised her a role and offered to give her Rs. 50,000 as a loan,” said G Rekulwad, inspector, Goregaon police station.
