The northern and eastern grids tripped on Monday, leading to power failure in several states affecting millions of people. We are continuously monitoring the situation," minister of state for power Rajendra Mulak said. He said the state’s power generation units were operational in full capacity and the state was prepared for any eventuality.

Asked if the power generation units were facing problems because of deficient rainfall, he said power generation was on as there has been adequate water supply so far. Some places are facing problems because of scanty rain. We expect that the situation to improve further once there is good rainfall in the next one-and-a-half months," he said.
