
Stray bullet hits window at Vikhroli
A stray bullet allegedly fired from Ghatkopar firing range, hit the windowpane of a flat in Parksite area of Vikhroli.
The incident was reported on Monday, after R. Tampal, a resident of Godrej Hill side colony in Parksite told the police that the windowpane of one of the flats was scattered due to a bullet.
The officials said they could not find any clue as to who fired the bullet. The police sources said a team of experts from the forensic laboratory in Kalina was called to survey the area. After the team confirmed about the bullet, the police lodged a complaint.
“We have lodged a case of negligence against an unknown person,” said senior police inspector A. Ghuge of Parksite police station. Ghuge added that the complainant said he does not suspect anybody. “We are trying to investigate whether the bullet was fired intentionally,” continued Ghuge.
The police sources suspect the bullet could have come from the firing range located in Ghatkopar.
