The Crime Branch filed the 2,300-page supplementary charge sheet, filed in two volumes, before the designated MCOCA judge, RG Avchat.
The charge sheet includes forensic and chemical analysis reports and additional telephonic conversations between the accused.
Defence lawyer Farhana Shah said the charge sheet has been filed belatedly “just to delay the trial”. The supplementary charge sheet doesn't have any substantive material, she added.
In February 2009, the Crime branch had filed its charge sheet against IM members and charged them with sending e-mails to various media organisations minutes before the serial blasts in Delhi and Bangalore intimating them about the attacks. The crime branch said the group was also involved in blasts at Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Surat.
