A Nallasopara resident was arrested for ramming his SUV into two college students, killing one, at Dadar on Tuesday morning.

Kavita Gorule and Lina Tandel, both 20, were crossing Govinddas Road in Dadar (West) when Dnyaneshwar Jagtap, 39, who was allegedly speeding, hit Gorule.
Tandel escaped with injuries.
Gorule and Tandel, both students of Ruparel College, were going to get their hall tickets when the incident took place.
Tandel, who registered a police complaint against Jagtap, said: “We were crossing the road when the speeding Tavera came from behind and hit Gorule. She was flung in the air and fell a few feet away."
The police have confirmed that Jagtap was not driving drunk after carrying out tests.
Passersby informed the police and rushed Gorule to hospital.
But Gorule died while undergoing treatment at the Sion hospital, said senior inspector Shivaji Unavne of the Shivaji Park police station. Jagtap, who runs a travel agency, has been booked for rash, negligent driving and culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
